Whether you're still living in lockdown or less restricted, the stress and uncertainty of today's world is affecting our wellbeing.

Iyengar Yoga has always innovated new ways of teaching and learning yoga and integrated yoga therapy into practice. Now more than ever we need this holistic approach to restore our vitality for life. 

 

For these reasons, I've created a 21-day Yoga Therapy Retreat - an online learning course that combines live classes, recorded practices, workshop talks, Q +A sessions, and more. Every session will be recorded, so if you can't make it live, so you can enjoy your retreat anytime or anywhere.

These are some of feelings that I've heard from yoga students since the pandemic began.  People are reflecting on their lives pre-Covid and while many want to "go back," other have realized it's a time for change.

 

I've been teaching Iyengar yoga for 25+ years helping people of all ages, backgrounds, and health conditions enjoy the benefits of yoga. Over the years, as our lives have become more face-paced, yoga practice, teaching, and learning has evolved to address new health needs and problems.

 

In 1998, I began offering yoga retreats and workshops giving people extra time to devote to yoga. Ten years later, I took some of these workshop themes online and made home practice videos for my students.

 

More and more I heard from people that they were looking for ways to go deeper into yoga and find ways to balance practice with their busy, complicated lives.

 

The 21-Day Online Yoga Therapy Retreat was born to create a long-term reset experience within modern life.

 

Through this immersive retreat, you will take a trip that involves working on your inner self as well your body.

 

Shifts will  happen with consistent and thoughtful practice and guidance.

We live complicated lives, juggling a lot of responsibilities and commitments but at the same time crave peace of mind and good health.

 

Yoga online gives us the ability to experience class with experienced teachers without always have to go to a yoga studio. An online yoga retreat is time for yourself, to allow yourself the treat to listen to your own needs and gain clarity on yoga and yourself.

 

This will be time away from your day-to-day life (while still being in your life!) to help you feel refreshed, renewed, re-inspired, and rested.

We can't always make it to class. Sometimes there isn't an experienced teacher where we live or life gets in the way. Time goes by and we wish we had been able to do more yoga.

 

Recorded practices, workshop talks, and Q + A sessions will allow you restart or reinvigorate your yoga study and practice when the time is right for you.

 

You will be taken step by step, week by week, how to help heal common health concerns and increase vitality.

 

You can either attend the live sessions or listen to the recordings. Some practice recordings you might enjoy so much and will listen to them again and again!

Iyengar yoga is at both methodical and creative!

 

Within class and from class to class, the safe and systematic progression of asanas—demonstrated with specific teaching points fosters intelligent action—developing each student’s strength, flexibility, stamina, and alignment.

 

Extensive use is made of yoga props—including blocks, belts, bolsters, blankets, and chairs—which enables students of varying levels of strength and flexibility to work safely and accurately in the asanas. Individual corrections and adjustments are made, when necessary.

 

In the Retreat, you will get in addition to the classes, workshops, and Q + A sessions, extra resources and guidance and get feedback.

 

By providing a firm foundation for health and well-being, Iyengar yoga gives everyone the knowledge to overcome and prevent many stresses, strains, aches, and pains.

Strategy + Guidance

 

You will get an easy to follow schedule with step by step instructions, week by week, during the retreat. I will teach you how to set up a home practice and how to stick with it. You will get clear insight how to integrate yoga therapy into your daily routine and boost your vitality.

Accountability + Support

 

We will be in close contact for the 3-week retreat. In live classes, question and answer sessions, in the private Facebook Group, and via email, I will be there with you to meet your goals and needs. I will be checking in regularly to make sure that you're enjoying your retreat and able to make the most of this time for yoga!

Training + Sequences

 

Every Monday evening and Saturday morning CET, we'll have a live class. After the Saturday morning class will be live Q +A. If  you miss a live session, you can always listen to the recordings. You'll also get extra recorded practices, sequences, a practice journal, and tips to keep you exploring your yoga.

FAQ's


  • Do I need to have experience with yoga?

    Yes. This retreat is designed for people who have already learned yoga in-person with an experienced teacher for a minimum of one year consistent study.

  • Do I need to have experience with Iyengar yoga?

    It's recommended that you have prior experience of Iyengar yoga, also for a minimum one year consistent study. If you're not sure if your yoga experience is enough, please get in contact.

  • What about if I injuries or health problems?

    Please contact Elizabeth directly and let her know about your concerns or questions. We will discuss together if this retreat is right for you.

  • How much time will I need for the retreat?

    The retreat lasts 3 weeks. Since it's online and everything will be recorded you can work at your own pace. It's recommened though whenever possible to attend the live sessions and practice with the recordings as often as you can to make the most of the retreat.

  • When are the live sessions?

    We will have live classes every Monday evening, 7:00-8:30pm, CET and Saturday mornings, 10:00-11:30am, CET. Wednesday evenings, 7:00pm CET and after class on Saturday, we will have live Q + A sessions.

  • What if I can't attend all the live sessions?

    All sessions will be recorded so you can catch up at any time during the retreat!

  • What is your refund policy?

    You have 7 days to decide if the program is right for you and  to get in contact for a refund. After 7 days, no refund is allowed.

  • What if I'm not on Facebook, can I still particpate?

    Yes. There will be a private Facebook Group during the retreat to access uploads and ask questions between classes but you will also receive everything via email and send any questions back that for support.

  • Do I need special yoga equipment at home?

    Yes, you will need at least 1 yoga mat, a yoga belt, minimum 3 yoga blankets, 2 yoga blocks. If possible, a yoga bolster and yoga chair are also recommended.
